Caspian Blue and Oatmeal Lambswool Rain Skinny Scarf

Rain takes its inspiration from a Māori tukutuku pattern called 'Roimata' literally translating as tears. The rhythm of narrow broken pairs of lines reminds me of falling rain hence the name. Importantly beyond its resemblance to falling rain, Roimata carries a deeper meaning of remembrance, gratitude and acknowledging those who have come before us.

Handmade in my London studio on a domestic knitting machine.

Gently felted for a soft and drapey luxurious feel.
